OK, first of all... I am sorry I haven't posted in about 3 or so weeks. It isn't really difficult to post regular updates, I just wasn't sure what I could say that you all didn't already know.
St James tournament was not very good. I was getting pretty down on myself both on the course and off it. My scoring was way off in the tournament and to be honest it seems like a long time ago. You have to use failure as fuel, you can't let it affect you negatively and that's what I've been working on. I have got over that now and begun moving forward.
In the past couple of weeks I've covered quite a lot of ground. I read a book called 'elite minds' by Dr Stan Beecham which was introduced to me by my girlfriend. Stan is a psychologist based in Atlanta, Georgia. After reading his book I decided to contact him and to see if it was at all possible to work with him.... after speaking on Monday, I travelled down 4 hours to Atlanta on Tuesday and spent the afternoon working with him. I learned so much and addressed a lot of the issues I have. Every golfer has a team around them and I finally establishing one of my own. I am looking forward to working with him in the future.
I got to put some of the work we have done into practice at the Wells Fargo pre-qualifier today. I shot 71 (+1) and was just enough to qualify for the Monday qualifier. I am now one quality round away from making my PGA Tour debut. It will be tough as there are only 4 spots up for grabs in a ~150 player field but my best golf is good enough so I will be trusting it. Today I made a 20 foot putt to birdie the 18th and qualify by 1 shot so I think that is a very good sign.
My schedule is set to get very busy so I will be updating my blog soon.
Cheers
Lee
